Charity Canoe Expedition

This group of 10 had previously ridden bikes from coast to coast across the Pennines and were looking for another challenge.

After some debate, they decided on the Great Glen Canoe Trail from coast to coast in Scotland. We organised all the equipment, logistics, food and guided them along the way.

School Paddlesport Program

After being approached by a local school who had
equipment but no qaulified instuctors we worked with them to create a training and assessment process as well as bespoke operating procedures and risk assessments to allow their existing staff to run activities at their own locations and at a specific location during their annual residentials.

#ShePaddles Courses

I was asked by a Paddle UK She Paddles Ambassador to run a series of courses specifically for women. As a man I felt honored to be asked and together we ran a successful 'intro to whitewater kayaking' weekend and a week long grade 2/3 confidence booster week. Both had excellent feedback and something I would love to be involved in more of.

Whitewater Leader Development

This group of Military Adventurous Training Instructors wanted to upskill themselves in order to achieve their Paddle UK Whitewater Leader Award. Over the course of a year they received training in personal skills, leadership tactics, rescue techniques and developed their experience of the enviroment in a range of venues.

They all passed their Whitewater Leader Award with flying colours.

Regaining Confidence in Kayaking

This couple had an extremely negative experience on the
river and their confidence had been knocked.

The solution was a long term plan which involved going
back to basics and a structured steady increase of challenge
which focused on an incremental series of achievable
goals, building on success each time.

Upstream Skills for
Advanced Whitewater Canoe Leader

This group recognised a gap in their skillset and wanted
some specific training to remedy this.

A training weekend purely focused on these skills was the answer.
By stripping the techniques back to basics to develop the understanding and then applying them in carefully selected venues the group excelled and even admitted to enjoying poling and tracking.
