Multi Day Trips & Expeditions

Over the years I have been lucky enough to expedition in some incredible places with some amazing people. From solo whitewater trips in Southern France to guiding adventures in the Scottish Highlands and from school groups to military personnel, each expedition is unique because of the amazing places and the people.

River Wye
Two day trip on the Welsh border

Dip your toe into canoe camping with this accessible two day trip. We'll stay on a lovely campsite with running water, toilets and showers.

Lake District Overnighter
Two days of immersion in nature

Come and explore a beautiful lake from a totally different perspective. Camp on the shores at a campsite with showers and toilets. The perfect first trip for any budding canoe expeditioner.

Whitewater Weekender
Adventures in Cumbria

Over two days we'll head down a section of river, find a wild camp spot and enjoy a riverside feast. The next morning after a hearty breakfast we'll continue exploring downriver.

The River Spey
Four Days in Whisky Country

The classic Scottish river, hundreds of rapids and fantastic wild camping all with stunning scenery amongst the Cairngorms National Park. Maybe a Distillery tour? Finishing at the sea. Perfect.

The Great Glen
Five Days Crossing The Heart of Scotland

Probably the most well known UK Canoe trip. This is one that anyone can do, no matter what your skill level. This is an open water trip on canals and Lochs including the Famous Loch Ness. Access to toilets and fresh water every day make this a really accessible trip for all.

River Tay
Paddle through the Highlands

Rapids are the order of business on this river, through beautiful forested scenery steeped in history. A fantastic trip and a chance to pitch yourself against the river, improving your skills along the way. We'll wild camp on the river bank as we go.

Knoydart Explorer
Scotland's Last Wilderness

On Scotland's West Coast lies a series of Lochs, some fresh water, some sea lochs. We'll spend a few days immersing ourselves in this landscape; observing seals and dolphins with options to visit the UK's most remote pub, take on a mini-mountain pass portage or camp on islands steeped in history.

The Royal Dee
A Cairngorm journey past Balmoral Castle

A challenging whitewater expedition in Royal Deeside. This lesser run expedition river has to be on any canoeist's tick list. Wild Camping and high tea with the King? Maybe.

Rannoch Moor Crossing
The trip that will test your whole skillset

This trip across the wild blanket bog follows a trickle out of an upland loch and makes it's way east towards the sea. Along the way we'll use every trick in the book to make progress including sailing, lining, poling and paddling on open and challenging whitewater. If all that fails we'll load up trolleys and start pushing.

The last frontier

Join me and Joe Alexander on the trip of a lifetime in a truly remote wilderness where a nomadic lifestyle is the norm. We'll paddle a river draining the north west uplands of the country in the Khan-Khentii National Park home of the Five Gods Mountain range
