Grade Three River Skill Development
Two days of coaching to give you style and confidence on grade three

whitewater boof stroke.jpg

If you've paddled some grade three and want to spend more time in that environment and understand & enjoy it more then this is the course for you. We'll build on your existing river skills and apply them to fast and more complex water. The aim is to get you moving around the river with ease, style and a big smile on your face!

The emphasis will be on you, working to find solutions that suit your style, your aspirations and your current abilities.

We'll aim to start with a bit of a shakedown, dialling in the fundamental river skills and tweaking them before heading onto something more complex. Expect plenty of challenges, repetition and the opportunity to play and improve. You'll receive individualised feedback and have the opportunity to repeat moves, improving as you go.

During the course you can expect:

  • Driving the boat

  • Catching harder eddies

  • Reading the river

  • Timing your strokes

  • Choosing & cruising lines

  • Using river features

  • Surfing

  • Boofing

Getting There/Where to Stay

Assuming you agree, we'll have a Whatsapp group chat with everyone in, this will allow you to potentially share lifts & book accommodation as a group which helps keep costs down and reduces our impact on the environment. We'll also use this to share photos and videos taken during the course. Depending on where this course takes place I have got a few suggestions on where to stay. Get in touch at the time of booking and I'll give you some reccomendations.
